Rising Lai (1996, Taiwan) is a passionate designer who digs story behind the object. From industrial product to cultural artefact, Rising combs the complexity of human creation and curates them in a communicative way. Through design, their works research, contextualise, and speculate the relationship among society, individual, and material culture.
Rising was born and raised in Taiwan, now developing their works in Rotterdam and Hasselt. Rising graduated from Master Industrial Design at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK). Their works are shaped in object, installation, exhibition, video, and writing, continuously exploring new possibilities via interdisciplinary collaboration.
賴思穎(臺文：Luā Su-íng)熱衷於挖掘物件背後的故事。從工業製品到文化人造物，以梳理複雜性為始，溝通為目的，進行著創作物的展策。其作品藉由研究、語境化、推測等設計行為，探索社會、個體、與物質文化之間的關係。
賴思穎來自於臺灣，目前以荷蘭鹿特丹與比利時哈瑟爾特為根據地。畢業於海牙皇家藝術學院工業設計碩士，其設計載體包含但不限於物件、裝置、展覽、影像、文字等。持續地跨領域合作、擴張創作的可能性。
